AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS
STARTING IN MARCH 2021 We are launching a virtual Afterschool program focused on training the next generation of Sound technicians. Our goal is to work with area youth to provide training and WORK TOWARDS certification in event technology.

PROGRAM STARTS MARCH 9, 2021
This program will meet Tuesdays and Thursday from 4pm-5:30pm.
Most of this time will be spent HANDS ON LEARNING.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
We have developed a series of trainings for working in the event/broadcast industry. Each subject has been put into a 40-60 minute MODULES outlining the technical skills needed for
- Audio
- Lighting
- Video
- Photography
- Event Production
- DJing
- Sound Design
- Work Ethic & Professionalism
- Livestreaming Platforms & Software
HOW DOES THE PROGAM WORK?
Students will meet on Tuesdays & Thursday at 4pm (VIRTUALLY). Our staff will review one MODULE to the group. The first part of the program will be instruction. Students then will be given short assignments
Example Assignment: Podcast interview
Recording a short interview with a family member or friend
Focus on technical with less emphasis on content.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN COMPUTER or SMARTPHONE
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED AS NEEDED

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS (This is not necessary to be involved but it helps)
CPU requirements: Adobe Creative Cloud recommends the following:
Windows: minimum 2gb ram, recommended 4gb ram or higher, 64-bit supported processor, at least 4gb of harddrive space AFTER installation, & a reliable internet connection
MacOS: minimum 4gb ram, recommended 16gb ram or higher, 64-bit supported processor, at least 4gb of harddrive space AFTER installation, & a reliable internet connection

This program is for Carrick and Hilltop Students and space is limited. If you are interested in applying please fill out the application below.
